SCHAUMBURG, IL September 3, 2010-- The Gateway for Cancer Research, a not-for-profit organization that gives voice to the demand for cures, will host DESTINATION: Cures, a fundraising gala, on Saturday, October 16, 2010, at the Palmer House Hilton in downtown Chicago. Dina Bair, medical anchor at WGN TV and Rick Santelli, on-air editor for CNBC will act as the gala's emcees.

Accelerate Cancer Research

Pancreatic Cancer Survivor's Golf for Gateway Raises $53,000

Schaumburg, IL - In just its second year of hosting an event to benefit The Gateway for Cancer Research, The Committee to Support Cancer Research raised more than $53,000 during Golf for Gateway. The committee, which was formed specifically to raise money to support Gateway's cancer research, was founded by Rose Murphy, a stage III pancreatic cancer survivor.
